Udaipur is the city of dreams, a rich culture, and a heritage that is thousands of years old adorned with majestic forts, tranquil lakes, and a gorgeous view of hills encircling the entire city. A few months ago I had a chance of visiting this exquisite place with my family, it was magical and fascinating to know about our Indian culture and how rich and resplendent it is, it was an experience in itself. The whole experience was enriching, I couldn’t have gotten so much exposure to Indian culture in such a short span of time. The city looks breathtaking at the night, the nightlife of Udaipur is to die for, and the vibrant colors matching with the night lights give a romantic vibe to the city.  Udaipur is known for its miniature paintings which are easily available and sold by local vendors at a very low price, I got so many paintings for everyone, it was like taking a small piece of Rajasthan with me. Apart from painting I got terracotta pottery as well and a lot of beautiful fabrics from local markets. There are a lot of picnic spots in Udaipur that are open for tourists as well; the Gardens in Udaipur are very well maintained and picturesque. The combination of hilly landscapes with royal palaces and beautiful lakes is unparalleled. Udaipur is like an oasis in the dry land of Rajasthan.
